Branxholm’s water supply is part of the Ringarooma Valley Water Scheme, which has been designed to deliver fully treated, high quality water to residents in Branxholm, Ringarooma, Legerwood, Derby and Winnaleah.

More than 30 kilometres of new pipeline has been laid to provide the foundation for the scheme, and a new water treatment plant constructed at Ringarooma. Treated water reservoirs are also being installed at Branxholm, Derby and Ringarooma to supply drinking water to all five towns in the scheme.

After a period of rigorous testing, the Department of Health lifted Branxholm’s Boil Water Alert on 7 August 2017.
